Late Payment or Nonpayment of Rent


If a tenant is late with rent payments the landlord may have the ability to charge late fees. To find out more about late fees click HERE . If a tenant is late with paying rent, but still making payments, it is very difficult to have the tenant evicted. However, if a tenant is not paying rent at all, a landlord can start the process of evicting the tenant through a nonpayment proceeding.
