Technical Compliance by Landlords of Rent Increases
The Division of Housing and Community Renewal is tasked with enforcing the Emergency Tenants Protection Act of 1974 (ETPA) and other DHCR regulations. The County Rent Guidelines Board, established through the ETPA, sets rent adjustments for lease renewals and vacancy lease increases. The ETPA has been amended several times over the years and each year the County Rent Guidelines Board establishes new guidelines for what a landlord can legally charge for rent.
Staying on top of these changes can be difficult and time consuming for landlords so let us help you. The attorneys and staff at James G. Dibbini & Associates, P.C. are constantly researching and staying up-to-date on all changes to the ETPA and its guidelines. Give us a call and we can help you stay in compliance with the law while saving you time and money.
